What makes a serial killer tick, what are their motives, and how do they avoid getting caught?

All will be revealed by your expert guide Declan McHugh who is a former professional actor, and a researcher and writer, whose ‘Bloody London’ book has sold thousands of copies. Declan knows how to work with an audience to provide tension, chills and thrills...... and some humour too!

Take the Serial Killers Tour if you dare!

Initially this was ok but we got to clue 13 and the directions of which way to navigate weren’t clear enough, leaving us scratching our heads as you needed a clue to get to the next one rendering the treasure trail cold. I think that some better navigational tips in between would definitely help. The map is a very broad range and we didn’t want to walk around anymore in circles. Was good but definitely needs some more clarity.

Thank you for your review. We can't unfortunately tell from your review which of the 8 London routes that you did, but we do know that for each and all of them that we give precise street directions of which street to walk along and then which street to turn into next, and we do that for each and every clue, so we can only assume that you didn't correctly read the street directions and/or didn't follow them correctly, and then assumed that it was the street directions that were wrong. It is extremely rare that any team said they got lost on the route, maybe 1 in 500 teams. As mentioned, we don't ask you to find things within a certain radius of the starting point, each and every clue has street directions to it. Although it's not mentioned in our booking confirmation, as it would not be manageable for us to take calls from teams trying to get hints at answers to clues, which is what would happen, if you had called us and said that you were lost on the route, we would have been happy to help you to get back on route.

Didn't love the format - would have preferred either a live event or having clues upon solvobg the previous one. Also, it started really easy and ended extremely difficult. Too many clues on Tower Bridge which is too crowded. I loved a prevous treasure hunt from this company, but didn't enjoy this one at all.

Dear Marco, Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you didn't enjoy the experience as much as the previous one. We do feel overall that your review is very harsh and that your viewpoint may be being influenced by the score that you got which was 740 pts out of 1000. So far this month, May 2022, these are the scores, in descending order, that teams completing the Tower Hill Treasure Hunt have got: 1000, 1000, 1000, 990, 975, 950, 740, 615. So the majority of teams have found the clues solvable, but like yourselves one other team also couldn't solve a few. The three teams who scored 1000 pts all win a prize. The degree of difficulty of clues varies throughout, but yes the first 5 or 6 clues are easier ones, to ease competitors into the experience. Some of the things you mentioned are not accurate: The event *is* live, you are doing it live as you walk around the area, and the clues *are all in a geographical continuous sequence*, as indeed they are on all of our Treasure Hunt routes, with one clue leading to the next, and then the next etc. There are 40 clues on the Treasure Hunt, 7 of which are on Tower Bridge, 5 of the 7 being huge structures or landmarks that can be spotted from either pavement of the very large bridge. In your own picture standing on the centre of Tower Bridge there was no one else at all in shot and it was a reasonably wide camera shot. It is not a mega busy area, such as somewhere like Oxford Street or Piccadilly Circus. We are sorry again that the experience wasn't as enjoyable as you wanted it to be, but we don't think it is a reflection of the high quality of the experience that we are providing. Thank you and kind regards, The Treasure Hunt organisers.
